Andersen agreed for 3 years with Barcelona


Xavi Pascual wants to rebuild Barcelona in order to return to the elite of the Euroleague. After the return of Juan Carlos Navarro they want to impress again. According to the spanish tv channel TV3 Barcelona has approached David Andersen.

Andersen is australian but has a danish passport so he plays as a european player. His contract with CSKA is coming to an end and although the initial rumors were that he would be heading to the NBA and the Atlanta Hawks the spanish tv channel says that Andersen is willing to trade the cold of Moscow to the warmth of the Mediterranean Sea.

Andersen averaged 12.8 points 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 20 games in the Euroleague this year helping CSKA conquer the title.


Update : According to El Economistas and other spanish media David Andersen has agreed to sign for 3 years with Barcelona. He will sign his new contract once he has passed all the medical tests at the Barcelona Hospital and then later at Camp Nou.
