According to greek newspaper metrosport Aris Thessaloniki is interested in serbian power forward Ivan Radenovic(2.08-PF/C). The 24-year old serbian played for Akasvayu Girona last year, that is facing at the moment serious financial problems and a debt that is estimated to be 14 million euros.
Furthermore Radenovic coming from a very good year in college where he averaged 15.1 points and 7.6 rebounds in 31 games he tried his luck the 2007 Las Vegas Summer league for the Clippers but his first contact with the NBA left him a somewhat bitter taste. He only managed to play 3 out of the 5 games and he averaged 2.7 points 3.3 rebounds and 1 assists. Unable to get a contract in NBA he tried his luck in Europe.
Initially he agreed a one-year contract with a greek team in Athens where he was promised a starting-five position in the team rejecting a 2-year contract with a Moscow team on the grounds of getting more playing time. The negotiations turned sour so in the end he ended up playing for Akasvayu Girona where he averaged in 27(24+3) games 5.7 points 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists getting more playing time in the play-offs. According to greek newspaper Aris And Radenovic have a difference for the time being in the contract reward but the ofer him a starting-five position which might turn the scale in the team's favor.
