CSKA paid 800.000 euros for Planinic's transfer

CSKA Moscow wants to replace the gap Theo Papaloukas left behind as soon as possible and the best way to do that is with croation combo-guard Zoran Planinic. Tau Ceramica was not negative as long as they were given a good amount for the player. According to el corriere digital this amount is 800.000 euros and the move of Zoran Planinic to CSKA is imminent.

President Querejeta decided a reduction in the budget this year for roughly 1.5 million euros and apart from Mickeal and Splitter that their contracts were renewed, other players like Rakosevic, McDonald and Singleton were instructed to find other teams. Furthermore Querejeta wants to regroup the team by introducing new talents such as the return of Stanko Barac and Goran Dragic to the team and perhaps signing players from the ACB to cover Planinic's loss like Marcelo Huertas.

Rakosevic was offered to Pamesa but their peripheral line is now full so they didn't show excessive interest.
