Dimitris Verginis one of the most promising young greek guards is rumored to have finalised the deal with Panathinaikos for 3 years. The first rumors came out from eurobasket.com and gazzetta.gr today verifies the news.
Verginis averaged 10.8 points 1.8 assists and 1.6 rebounds for Paok last year. The deal will be announced by Panathinaikos in the next few days. The greek combo guard was sought by other teams in Greece and Spain as well. Rumors are that he might be playing on-loan for the first year of his contract. The buy-out of his contract is minimal for Panathinaikos and is rumored to be 80.000 euros but they might not even need to pay it as his former team owes him still money and he might get released on the grounds of owed money.
