Michalis Kakiouzis may have been disqualified from the greek national team, thanks to a strange decision by coach Giannakis, but he is still a wanted player in Europe. Cajasol wants to retain the greek forward, who was the ACB all time leader in 2p shot % during 2005-2006 by scoring 72.5% on 2p shots, but Efes Pilsen also has the same plans.
According to greek website gazzetta.gr Efes Pilsen made a larger offer than the one from Cajasol who can barely offer the same money as last year. Manuel Comas wants the player in Seville next year but that might not be feasible in the end. Kakiouzis averaged 12.6 points 5.6 rebounds 1.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 34 games last year for Cajasol.
