According to italian media
Lottomatica Roma reached an agreement with Panionios this morning and hence announced the signing of
Ibrahim Jaaber until
2010. The player wanted to stay in Roma and
Dejan Bodiroga spoke to the administration of Panionios but the amount of money that was agreed in order to sell the player was higher than anticipated. Panionios asked for a higher amount in the order of 400,000 dollars (instead of 300,000) in order to cover expenses for the acquisition of the bulgarian passport of Jaaber.
This might actually be the end to the saga of
Jaaber's transfer to Roma if all this is true.
