Prokom announced veteran center Pat Burke(2.10-C) via their official website. It was rumored that Pat Burke wouldn't sign a contract this year as he wanted to stay with his family and spend some time with them especially now that he expecting his daughter to be born in October. Nevertheless he agreed to play for another season with the polish champion Asseco Prokom.
The irish veteran has played in quite a few teams in Europe. In Greece he played for Panathinaikos and Maroussi, then he tried his luck for a season in Orlando in the NBA. Later on he moved to Spain and Gran Canaria for 2 seasons and he spent one more season in Spain playing for Real Madrid. The next 2 seasons he played in Phoenix although he didn't get much playing time and last season he played for Khimky in Russia helping the team in 2nd half of the season and the play-offs. He averaged 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 11 games for the regular season.
