Guard Nikola Vasic (1.94-PG/SG) is a new player of BC Kyiv. The Ukrainians released couple of players in February, but it seems their ambitions are the same - the title in Superleague. Head coach Sasa Obradovic and his squad already made big surprise advancing to EuroChallenge 1/4 finals and they are now tied with French Cholet (1-1).
Nikola Vasic started this season in Spanish Fuenlabrada, but they parted ways in December. He joined Fuenla in January 2008 playing the second half of the season there. In 4 games he had 4.3 ppg. First half of 07/08 season Vasic spent in Russian Triumph Lyubertsy. Season 06/07 in Alicante was his first one outside of Serbia. Vasic had 33 appearances in ACB with 8.7 ppg. Before that he spent couple of years in FMP Zeleznik. In 2006 they grabbed Adriatic league title. In 2003 Vasic was a member of Serbian University National Team and also participated at the Global Games in Dallas. Except of him and head coach Sasa Obradovic, there is no more Serbians in Kyiv.
In the meantime, the official Superleague schedule is not announced yet. There is few options which will be considered during the following few days.
