The GM of BC Donetsk, Valery Plekhanov gave an interview to the Evening Donetsk newspaper. Among other things he was asked about the best player of BC Donetsk last season, small forward P.J. Tucker (1.96-SF) and his response was that they cannot keep Tucker in the team and he has already signed a preliminary contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The graduate of the University of Texas had his first pro contract in Europe playing for Hapoel Holon in season 2007-2008 while he unsuccessfully tried to get some playing time the season before with the Toronto Raptors and later got traded to Cleveland. P.J. Tucker had the best scoring average in the Ukrainian Superleague this past season averaging 19.4 points 5.9 rebounds and 2 assists in 17 games.
