Printezis officially in Malaga now

Unicaja made its first major move of the off-season by inking small forward Georgios Printezis to a three-year deal. Printezis (202, 24) arrives from Olympiacos, where he averaged 8.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 20 Euroleague games last season. He scored a Euroleague career-high 22 points against Armani Jeans Milano in Olympiacos's Top 16 opener. He averaged 12 points on 92.3% shooting (12 for 13) in two games against Unicaja last season.

Printezis started his career with the Asteras Ag. Dimitriou youth team, moved to Olympiacos in the summer of 2000 and made his Euroleague debut in the 2002-03 season. After three years of limited playing time, Printezis was sent on loan to Olimpia GE Larisa, where he had a breakout 2006-07 season, averaging 11.5 points and 4 rebounds in 24 Greek League games. Last season, Printezis helped the Reds advance to the Euroleague Final Four and reach the Greek League and the Greek Cup finals. He is also a member of the Greek national team and played at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
