Olimpija Lubljana signs Aleksandrov for 3 seasons

Olimpija Lubljana has announced the transfer of serbian forward/center Nemanja Aleksandrov (2.10-PF/C) via their official website for the next 3 seasons, though Olimpija has the option to terminate the contract after the first season. Aleksandrov was once considered one of the top prospects in Europe but his early career was plagued by recurring knee injuries that made him lose a significant amount of games.

The Serbian forward/center had been training with Olimpija and after he passed all the medical exams the Slovenian team offered him a 3-season contract. Aleksandrov has played for Partizan, Zeleznik and Red Star Belgrade. In season 2007-2008 after playing only 3 games for Red Star he felt knee pain once again and sat out for the season and during 2008-2009 he spend time in the US with medical specialists in order to get his knee back into shape. If Aleksandrov passes the first season without any knee injuries it is certain that he will make a proper comeback.
