Orleans signed Marko Milic

One day after making its Euroleague debut, Entente Orleanaise Loiret added some experience to its lineup by signing veteran forward Marko Milic.

The signing is pending the player passing a physical. Marko Milic (199, 32) is expected to join the club on Monday. Milic played for Union Olimpija last season, where he averaged 9 points and 3.7 rebounds over 21 minutes in six Euroleague games.

Milic first joined Olimpija in 1994 from boyhood club Triglav and helped it reach the Euroleague Final Four in 1997, where he famously shattered a backboard in the third-place game against Asvel Basket. Milic has also played for Real Madrid in Spain, Virtus Bologna, Euro Roseto, Scavolini Pesaro and Fortitudo Bologna in Italy, Philadelphia and Phoenix in the NBA, as well as Fenerbahce in Turkey.

"Marko is the type of player we need to compete in the Euroleague," head coach Philippe Herve said. "He has experienced the high European levels. He'll bring the intensity and athleticism at small forward that we lack. He can play both on the perimeter and in the low post area."
