Taquan Dean agreed to play for Kavala

In Kavala they haven't lost hope yet.. so they decided to raise the stakes.

Taquan Dean(1.93-SG) will be the new player of Kavala BC according to contra.gr. The American scorer sent back his contract signed until the end of the season, that is essentially 4 more games. Dean will be taking the place of veteran Dejuan Collins, who was released from Kavala after coach Alexandris' request.

Dean started the season in Malaga but he was replaced by Juan Dixon. Later he signed a brief contract with Baskonia and ever since then he's been a free agent. In Kavala they can see the possibility to ensure their stay in the A1 league and avoid relegation now that their rivals, Olympia and Trikalla are having a tough time with financial difficulties and they can barely keep their roster together. The next few games are crucial for Kavala and especially the one at the home of Trikalla so they need Dean to get climatised with his new team as soon as possible.

Dean has played before in Italy for Caserta in LegaDue for Dynamo Moscow in Russia and last season he played for Murcia in Spain. This season he averaged 11.7 points 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 9 games in the Euroleague for Malaga. Dean is expected to arrive in Kavala this Friday so he might not be able to make it for this weekend's game against Panellinios.
