Bogdan Tanjevic steps down from Fenerbahce Ulker

Fenerbahce Ulker is looking for a new coach, as Bogdan Tanjevic stepped down on Tuesday night due to health problems.

Tanjevic had a meeting with team president Aziz Yildirim and several board members and both parts reached a quick agreement. In an official statement, the club said that Tanjevic will always be considered a member of Fenerbahce's family, representing the club outside Turkey. Tanjevic, age 63, stays as the Turkish natonial team head coach.

Turkey faces a big challenge, as it hosts the 2010 FIBA World Championships this summer. Despite his health problems, Tanjevic has not discarded to keep coaching in the near future. In his three seasons with Fenerbahce Ulker, Tanjevic led the team to win two Turkish League titles in 2008 and 2010. This season, Tanjevic coached FB Ulker to its first Turkish Cup title in 43 years.
