The Nuggets want Linas Kleiza to return to Denver, enough that they extended a qualifying offer to the forward, who played last season in Greece.
Denver owns Kleiza's NBA rights. Terms of the offer were not released. But Kleiza's agent, Bill Duffy, said his client plans to stay in Greece.
"We have no plans to sign with the Nuggets, nor have they expressed interest in signing Linas at this point," he said. Kleiza, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward, left the Nuggets a year ago to play for Olympiakos, for whom he signed a two-year, $12.2 million contract *.
Duffy said it's "very likely" Kleiza will for Olympiakos next season. He averaged 17.1 points per game this past season for them. In four seasons with the Nuggets, Kleiza averaged 8.3 points per game and 3.5 rebounds.

* (The Hoop : Kleiza's contract with Olympiakos pays 2.2 million euros per season. 12.2 million dollars is a bit far fetched.)
