Schortsanitis is moving to Los Angeles for the Clippers

It's now or never for Big Sofo..

According to sportnet.gr, Big Sofo will be travelling to Los Angeles to meet with the administration of the LA Clippers. The Clippers own his rights in the NBA, selected in the 2nd round (34th overall) of the 2003 NBA
Draft. Schortsanitis already has tickers to L.A. and the Clippers notified Olympiakos of their invitation to the player. It wasn't necessary though because Schortsanitis will be a free agent at the end of this month when his contract ends. The article says that the Clippers are not going to use him in the Las Vegas Summer League team unless he signs with them first. Another source, says that they are already planning to show him some houses where he can stay in LA.

Schortsanitis' asking price is 6 million dollars for 2 seasons for the Clippers, but for other European teams is 6 million euros per season for a 3-season contract. And last but not least his asking price to re-sign with Olympiakos is 1 million euros per season. Obviously he is inclined to speak with Olympiakos before anyone else but they are also willing to let him try his luck in the NBA. Big Sofo has the airplane tickets in-hand and his bags packed for the end of month.. unless something else comes up. This season he averaged 9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 13.4 minutes of playing time for Olympiakos in a total of 31 games in the Greek league.
