Efes Pilsen made a major move that signals to the future by signing Miroslav Raduljica, one of the top young centers in the game, to a five-year deal.
Raduljica arrives from Serbian side FMP, where he had a breakout season last year as his minutes rose. He finished the season with 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in the EuroChallenge, helping FMP reach the quarterfinals, and 13.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in the Adriatic League. Radulica was already seen as a star on the rise last summer when he played a reserve role for the Serbian national team that won the silver medal at EuroBasket 2009. he had limited Eurocup experience with FMP early in his career, making his competition debut days after his 17th birthday.
He has played his whole career to date with FMP, spare one season on loan at Borac Cacak. Radulica also helped Serbia win gold medals at the 2005 European Under-18 Championships, the 2007 World U-19 Championships and the 2008 European U-20 Championships, where he was named MVP after scoring 18.6 points and leading the tourney in rebounding with 10.9 per game.
