Sam Muldrow is a free agent?

He gave some money away to win his freedom it seems.

According to metrosport.gr, lanky forward/center Sam Muldrow(2.06-PF/C) of Aris BC will be leaving the team although he had signed initially a 3 season contract. According to the article Muldrow is willing to break the contract by giving away some of the monies that were still owed to him. It seems that his salary for the new season would have been 70,000 euros which might be a bit too steep for a defensive role player and especially now that the team's income has decreased slightly. Muldrow occupied one of the 3 American player slots which might be occupied now by a pure center instead.

In his first pro season he didn't do that bad averaging 8.3 points 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 12 games in the Eurocup and 6.8 points 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 26 games in the A1 league.
