Aris announced Aaron Miles


As it was predicted, Aaron Miles(1.85-PG) was announced by Aris and their official website. Aaron Miles was practicing with the Atlanta Hawks during pre-season but he didn't manage to earn a spot in their roster.


The University of Kansas graduate of 2005 is the 8th leader in assists in the history of the NCAA and led the Kansas Jayhawks  to two consecutive Final Four appearances in 2002 and 2003 and an appearance in the 2003 national championship game. He is also the all-time leader in assists(954) in the history of the University of Kansas. He went undrafted in 2005 he signed a free agent with the Golden State Warriors and managed to play in 19 games for them. He then finished the season in the NBDL with Fort Worth. 

In 2006 he signed his first pro contract in Europe playing for Pau Orthez where he was the leader in assists in the Euroleague regular season. Next season he signed Sevilla and last season he played for Panionios in Greece averaging 11.3 points 2.8 rebounds 3.5 assists and 2.2 steals in 27 games. In the Euroleague he averaged 10.3 points 2.8 rebounds 3.3 assists and 1.9 steals. Miles will arrive in Greece on Monday. Head coach Fotis Katsikaris said that Miles is the kind of player that makes his teammates better and he is very happy to have him in the team.
