Tal Burstein has long been a symbol of Maccabi and he has won many titles with them, including 2 Euroleague titles, as he has been playing for the Israeli powerhouse for the last 9 seasons. He recovered from a very serious injury last season and he joined the Israel National Team in the Eurobasket 2009 averaging 14.3 points 2.3 rebounds and 2 assists in 3 games.
As a player of Maccabi he averaged 4 points 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 16 games in the Euroleague. He signed a contract for the next season with Fuenlabrada and he should make his first appearance against Malaga on Sunday. Burstein will be replacing Voskuil who signed with Fuenlabrada back in May.
