Fernandez and Murcia part ways

This is the time of year where head coaches either stand the test of time or fall on their sword and leave their club.

It seems to be the case for Moncho Fernandez, formerly the head coach of Murcia. The administration of
Murcia announced to him via their official website, that he will no longer be in charge of the team and left in his place, his assistant Joachim Prado.

Fernandez paid the price for the team's bad record of 2-9 in the ACB and now Murcia is in desperate need of victories in order to escape the relegation zone. Fernandez also made statements on the official website of Murcia thanking the fans and the administration for their support during his stay in Murcia.
