He is going to be hot stuff this summer.
According to sport24.gr, Sergio Kerusch(1.96-SG/SF) is very popular already and there are plenty of offers at the offices of Aris BC for the american swingman with the German passport. Obviously there are German teams involved as Kerusch wouldn't occupy the position of a European or American player there and Bamberg and Oldenburg are said to have made offers.
Also there seem to be 3 more offers from teams of 2 different countries. This comes as no surprise if one takes into account the dire economic situation of Aris BC that will be made officially known possibly on Wednesday. It is possible that if a significant offer comes along for Kerusch he might be sold to the highest bidder. It's worth noting though that he has 2 more seasons in his contract with Aris so buying him won't come cheap. Needless to say that Kerusch is one of the crowd's favourites and he even has a blog at basketplus.gr where he talks about his experiences in Aris.
Kerusch attracted a lot of attention after his infamous dunk on Kyle Hines(1.98-PF/C) of Olympiakos BC during a game of the regular where Kerusch finished the 2nd quarter with a spectacular dunk in the fast break. The appeal of this player is his unpolished skills and the potential that still hasn't been reached. Kerusch played for the first time in Europe last season and he has shown improvement and the ability to adjust at pro level in a demanding and defensively oriented league like the Greek A1. In his first season he averaged 7.4 points 5.8 rebounds in 12 games in the Eurocup and also 7.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 26 games in the Greek A1 league.
