Barcelona interested in Santiago

According to marca.com Barcelona is in negotiations with Daniel Santiago(2.16-C). The puertorican center gave up on his NBA dream and pursued a contract with one of the big spanish clubs the last few weeks. It seems that Barcelona is keen to sign him in order to fill the gap that Mario Kasun left behind leaving for Efes Pilsen and the article also says that he might even be announced this week.

Santiago came to the end of 3-year contract with Unicaja Malaga conquering the spanish league and reaching the Final-Four of the Euroleague in his time with Malaga. Santiago has briefly played in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns. He played a total of 122 games. Last season he averaged 9 points and 4.2 rebounds in the Euroleague in 17 games.
