Panellinios announced Josh Davis


Panellinios announced the signing of power forward Josh Davis(2.04-PF) via their official website. Davis is an experienced player that has both NBA and European experience.

He graduated from Wyoming University State and then he got his first pro contract with Jesi in Italy. He played in the CBA with Idaho Stampede in 3 different occasions and also played 42 games with Philadelphia in the NBA. In Europe he played for Dynamo Moscow and BC Kyiv and last season he started as a player of the Colorado 14ers in the D-League averaging 19.1 points 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 49 games and then went to Puerto Rico to play for Cangrejeros de Santurce averaging 16.6 points 9.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 14 games.

Brose Baskets announced Jason Forte


Brose Baskets Bamberg announced the signing of guard Jason Forte at a press conference on Thursday. Forte (1.94-SG) inked a short-term deal and comes in as a reinforcement for injured playmaker John Goldsberry according to the EuroCup Official site.

This will be his first spell in Europe after spending the last two seasons in the CBA. He averaged 13.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and was fourth in the league with 4.8 assists over 34 games last season split between Yakima and Rio Grande Valley. Before that Forte played four seasons of college basketball at the University of Southern Mississippi between 2002 and 2006.

Galatasaray annnounced Strickland and Graves


Galatasaray Cafe Crown improved its backcourt for the 2008-09 Eurocup Qualifying Rounds by inking combo guards Marshall Strickland and Antonio Graves. Strickland (188, 25) arrives from Alpella Istanbul, where he averaged 16.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 26 Turkish League games. Alpella has been his only professional club since finishing his four-year career at Indiana University (NCAA). Meanwhile,

Graves (190, 23) arrives from Pau-Orthez, where he averaged 20.4 points on 43.5% three-pointers and 2.8 assists in 18 French League games last season. Not only he was the second top scorer in the French League last season, but Graves also had a 40-point performance in a road win against Adecco Asvel. Graves has also played for the Pittsburgh Xplosion in the CBA since
finishing his college career at the University of Pittsburgh (NCAA). Both players signed respective one-year deals and will be ready to face BC Siauliai in the Eurocup first qualifying round.
