Panathinaikos has set sights on Delfino

According to eurobasket.com Dimitris Itoudis is heading to the USA to try and get the signing of Carlos Delfino for Panathinaikos. The argentinian guard/forward (1.99-G/F) of the Toronto Raptors has an italian passport that allows him to play as an EU player. Panathinaikos seems to be hot on transfers this summer to regain ground in the euroleague from which they were knocked ou quite early this year. Carlos Delfino was also rumored by greek sports websites to be a target for Olympiakos.

The announcements of Nikola Pekovic and Antonis Fotsis are expected to follow soon, while Dimitris Verginis stated in greek media that he has not signed with Panathinaikos. That does not necessarily mean he hasn't agreed with them as it is standard practice to deny any rumors for players that have actually agreed with Panathinaikos.
