Britton Johnsen has offers from Europe


The american power forward Britton Johnsen(2.07) is currently trying to secure a contract on the NBA according to the Deseret News. Johnsen has played in quite a few teams in Europe before. He has played for Alicante in Spain, for Panellinios in Greece, for Orthez in France and the Euroleague and last season he played for Galatasaray after recovering from a serious injury.

He has also played for Indiana and Orlando in the NBA but he didn't get much playing time. He said in an interview that he wants to try his luck in pursue of an NBA contract although knowing that the chances are slim. He also said that he has offers from Europe but this is his main priority now. Johnsen averaged 5.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in 10 games for Galatasary last season.

He played for the Jazz at the Rocky Mountain Revue this summer but an injury on his left thigh allowed him to play only 2 games. Johnsen will be joined at training camp by fellow NBA hopeful Gerry McNamara, a 6-2 point guard from Syracuse, among others who have not yet been announced.
