Spartak to ditch Rakovic, White and Suton

Spartak Saint Petersburg will not prolong contracts of Goran Suton (209-C-85, college: Michigan St.), Milovan Rakovic (208-C-85) and James White  (198-G-84, college: Cincinnati).


Goran Suton joined Spartak back in November. The 24-year-old centre averaged 4.8 points and 3.5 boards per game in EuroCup. In Russian Superleague Goran Suton tallied 1.0 point and 1.7 boards per game.

James White also arrived to Russia in November. The 25-year-old guard tallied 16.0 points, 3.0 boards and 1.8 assists in EuroCup. In Superleague James White delivered 14.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Milovan Rakovic had a solid season with the Saint Petersburg team. The 25-year-old centre played a key role for Spartak. He notched 14.3 points, 6.0 boards and 1.5 assists per game in Europe. Milovan Rakovic also delivered 15.2 points, 6.4 boards and 1.5 assists in Superleague. The centre is expected to sign contract with Montepaschi Siena. The Italian powerhouse is looking for the replacement for Benjamin Eze in the upcoming season. The reports are sending the Serbian centre to Italy.
