Italian site mondobasket.it is making mention of a possible 3-year deal of Sani Becirovic and Lottomatica Roma. Initial rumors spoke about interest from Fortitudo but there wasn't a deal after all. Fortitudo is waiting on a possible release from Gianluca Basile and perhaps they weren't willing to offer him enough money.
Becirovic didn't have much playing time in Panathinaikos with the return of Vassilis Spanoulis and in the end coach Obradovic didn't even use him in the roster. Becirovic averaged 7 points and 3.2 assists in 23 games in the greek A1 league.
