BC Triumph announced Batista

BC Triumph signed a contract with Esteban Batista (2.08-PF/C) and it was announced via their official website. Batista will replace Nenad Krstic who moved on to the NBA. Last season Batista played for Maccabi Tel-Aviv, and he has played for two seasons (2005-07) in the NBA for Atlanta

According to the official site of BC Triumph the team wanted to sign Batista in the summer but Maccabi still held his contract. When the head coach was changed and his playing time diminished Batista was free to move to a different team. He is also a member of the Uruguay National Team.

Coach Eremin said this about his new player : "I know his style of game, he’s rather aggressive and good in defense and rebounding. I think that Batista will be our main center player, though he can play 4-5 positions. He got not too much playing time in Maccabi, but he’s in a good shape and ready to help us" .
