Virtus Roma announced the signing of American point-guard Darius Washington(1.88-PG) until the end of the season. It was rumored that he would play in Bologna but it was Roma after all that snatched him. He will be playing for Roma until the end of the play-offs.
Washington has played for Aris and Paok of Thessaloniki in Greece, for Nymburk in the Czech Republic, Ural Great in Russia and most recently for Galatasaray where he averaged 15 points 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 games. He has also played for a few games in the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs.
