Orleans announced Troy Bell

The Entente Orleans Loiret is pleased to announce the arrival of Troy Bell (1m86, 29 years old) for next season.


Born on November 10th, 1980 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Troy Bell spent four years in Boston University College of the Big East Conference, where he won numerous awards. He surpassed the record of points scored in the team and will be one of the few American college players to win the trophy two times player of the year of the Conference (in 2001 and 2003 when he surpassed future NBA star Carmelo Anthony). In addition, Troy will take his team to victory Conference in 2001 and won World Championship U-21 and under with Team USA.

After his college career ended, Troy Bell joined the NBA after being drafted 16th overall by the Boston Celtics. Later he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he played six games. After a tryout with the New Orleans HornetsTroy briefly played for Real Madrid (where he won passage in the Spanish Championship) and then returned to play one year in America with the Albuquerque Thunderbirds and the Austin Toros of the NBA D-League. The following season he signed with Italian Serie A team, Angelico Biella and then with Fastweb Casale Monferrato. Finally in 2008, Troy will later join for 2 years Vanoli, where he will be named the best player in the LegaDue and allow the club to win the championship and thus validate its rise in the first Serie A season.

Troy Bell is an explosive scorer who has an excellent first step, a very good ball control and a nice finish. He is a complete player cataloged, present in the various aspects of the game, like passing, rebounding and steals.
