PAOK blocked Deshawn Sims' move to NBDL

He didn't leave them a choice.

Deshawn Sims(2.03-SF/PF) bailed out on PAOK the other day. The American forward that had recently graduated from Michigan in 2009 but went undrafted. He did take part though in quite a few summer camps and did attract a lot of attention from Europe and PAOK decided to sign him.

However Sims decided that this wasn't the right place for him to be so he decided to pack up his stuff and disappear without telling anything to the people at PAOK. Obviously they weren't too happy about that and they had every right to do so because this was very unprofessional, but they replaced him swiftly with Robert Dozier(2.06-PF). According to, today the letter of clearance of Deshawn Sims was requested by an NBDL team but PAOK decided to request compensation. They feel that they deserve compensation because of the way the team was treated and unfortunately for Sims they are holding all the cards now. It seems unlikely that the NBDL team would offer any kind of compensation so this would have to fall onto the player.
