Red Star to replace Maurice Bailey

In Red Star they are going to replacing the starting point guard, Maurice Bailey.

With its Eurocup opener just days away - and less than 24 hours after he hit a game-winning three-pointer against archrival Partizan in Adriatic League play - Crvena Zvezda released playmaker Maurice Bailey in favor of Mike Taylor, who will make his European debut. Taylor (23, 188) signed a deal for the rest of the season with C. Zvezda.

Taylor most recently played for the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA, averaging 5.7 points and 2.1 assists in 51 games last season, including a 35-point scoring effort against New York. Previously, after playing at Iowa University, Taylor moved to NBDL, where he averaged 14.5 points playing 39 games for Idaho. Bailey, 28, had played in France, Russia and Slovenia prior to joining C. Zvezda. His career highlight in Europe has been averaging 9.1 points in 12 Euroleague games for Union Olimpija in 2007-08.
