Baskets Bonn announced Ronald Dupree

With injuries mounting to key players Vincent Yarbrough, Alex King and Tim Ohlbrecht, The Telekom Baskets Bonn had to react and looked over the pond and found NBA veteran Ronald DuPree  (199-F/G-81, college: LSU).

He is a 28 year old 199 cm shooting guard/small forward who lists Allen Iverson as his favorite player and is supposed to compensate the loss of Vincent Yarbrough who will miss several months. 'Dupree is a player that has a similar game to Vincent Yarbrough. He is a player that does the little things correctly in a game and that is why he was able to stay so long in the NBA', stressed Telekom Baskets Bonn coach Michael Koch.

Dupree comes from Biloxi, Mississippi and played at LSU from 1999-2003. In his senior year, he played 32 games averaging15.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.4apg. In 2000, he was SEC champion with LSU. He was never drafted in the NBA, but was able to find the right route to the worlds best league in 2003 and did not leave until 2008. In his five years in the NBA, he played 154 games for times like the Detroit pistons, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Seatle Supersonics. His biggest success in the NBA was reaching the Eastern Conference finals with the Chicago Bulls in 2007. Last season, he played in the D-League for the Tulsa 66ers playing 18 games and averaging 19.8ppg, 6.6rpg, 3.7apg, 1.6spg, FGP: 46.8%, 3PT: 31.3%, FT: 69.2%, and then moved to the Utah Flash playing 33 games and averaging 17.3ppg, 7.2rpg, 3.9apg, FGP: 49.2%, 3PT: 27.4%, FT: 79.2%.
