Valencia announced Thomas Kelati

Valencia announced the signing of American guard/forward Thomas Kelati via their official webpage.

Thomas Kelati had a long summer until he found a team in Europe and now in Valencia he will be replacing Rawle Marshall that coach Spahija decided to release. Kelati initially signed a contract with Olympiakos but a few days later a medical problem was discovered that was initially missed(?) by the medical team that examined him. That resulted to Kelati's contract being broken and so he tried his luck in America signing with the LA Lakers. He didn't make it to the final roster through and the Lakers released him.

He graduated in 2005 from Washington State and then moved on to Belgium to play for Dexia Mons as his first pro contract. He then had 2 great seasons with Turow in Poland that got him noticed and signed with Malaga that he played for in this past season. He averaged 11.8 points 1.9 rebounds 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 16 Euroleague games with Malaga. Kelati can acquire a Polish passport because his wife is Polish.
