Fener and Virtus want Marques Green

Fenerbachse and Virtus Bologna both made offers to Marques Green (1.70-PG). The tiny point guard is sought after by a lot of teams in Europe but these two are the ones that made the best offers for one of the best true point guards in Europe. A classic case of another under-sized player that excels in Europe.

Fener seems to have made an offer of 1.8 million dollars and Virtus an offer of 1.5 million dollars per year according to tuttobasket.net. The american point guard has dazzled everyone in Europe this year with his speed, scoring and passing ability and he is destined for great things. Tanjevic is offering a chance to play in the Euroleague next year. Even so Virtus seems to be in the lead as the player would like to stay for another year in Italy.

Marques Green was sought after by Siena as well to replce Terrell McIntyre but it seems that they have drawn out. Green averaged 13.3 points 3.8 rebounds 6.5 assists and 3.5 steals in 34 games in the regular season this year for Air Avelino while he is coming off another spectacular year from Ankara in season 2005-2006.
