Kolossos Rhodes is after Marios Matalon
Marios Matalon (1.88-PG) played for 6 months for Kolossos while on-loan from Aris Thessaloniki. The greek-jewish point guard comes from the junior teams of Aris and last year he tried his luck in the USA playing for the Wyoming Cowboys. His reduced playing time though got him to return to Greece where Kolossos under coach Alexandris requested Matalon.
This year coach Sferopoulos is interested in acquiring the player from Aris as a free transfer according to sport.gr. At the moment Aris only has Keydren Clark in the PG position so the future of Matalon is uncertain but he still has 2 more years in his contract with Aris. Another team that was interested in Matalon was AEL 1964 that will have coach Alexandris at the helm this year but AEL will probably request the player on-loan along with Michalis Tsairelis.
Marios Matalon averaged 1.5 points and 0.9 assists in 11 games this year.
