Gigli close to Air Avellino

According to tuttobasket Zare Markovski wants to rebuild Air Avellino after the loss of Marques Green and Devin Smith and the first target for the euroleague newcomer is Angelo Gigli who is currently recouperating from a torn ligament operation.

The italian forward played for Benetton for the last 2 years and this year he averaged 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 26 games until he was injured. His playing time was reduced this year with the presence of Mario Austin and Mensa Bonsu and Gigli would like to play for a euroleague team again. Further rumors wanted Roma to be interested in the 25-year old power forward to cover the possible loss of Erazem Lorbek but in Avellino he will definitely get more playing time according to the italians.
