Big Sofo and Papanikolaou ill with Swine Flu


Earlier today the team of Olympiacos released an announcement via their official website regarding the medical condition of 2 of their players that have been found ill with H1N1.


According to the announcement, Sofoklis Schortsanitis(2.06-C) and Kostas Papanikolaou(2.01-SF) have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus that causes the #Swine Flu#. It says that they were found to be ill upon their return from Cleveland and fortunately their symptoms were only mild. They are currently being treated for Swine Flu and everyone else in the staff of the team and the players is being closely monitored just in case.

Rumors in Greek media have surfaced regarding a possible postponement of the opening game in the 2009-2010 season which would take place next Saturday 24th of October.
