William Avery(1.90-PG) might not continue for much longer in Paok. They have already started looking for a replacement.
According to metrosport.gr, head coach of Paok, Soulis Markopoulos, is considering replacing William Avery. The American point-guard did not perform up to standard and seems to be unable to lead the team. His contract is in the region of 150,000 euros, so they have left some money aside for Avery's compensation and they're looking to spend a possible amount 120-130,000 euros for Avery's replacement.
One of the candidates is Will Conroy(1.88-PG/SG) who had an impressive season with the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, averaging 26.5 points 4.8 rebounds and 8 assists in 49 games in the D-League. According to the article they have made an offer of 120,000 dollars to Conroy and they're currently awaiting his answer.
The other candidate seems to be Taurean Green(1.86-PG/SG) that currently has a contract with AEK. In AEK the situation is quite difficult. Due to old debts of the team, FIBA has blocked all foreign player transfers for Paok and there is a possibility that AEK might be releasing all their non-Greek players. The player's agent is aware that Paok are interested in the player but he is holding fire until the situation is sorted. They are also in talks with other agents but these 2 candidates seem to be the strongest ones.
