Bailey said that he has worked with coach Aco Petrovic in Russia before and that he is very pleased to be playing for Red Star Belgrade. He has played against them as a player of Olimpija Lubljana in the past. He has also played for Brest, Nancy, Lokomotiv Rostov and Olimpija Lubljana in the past. As a player of Spartak Primorie Vladivostok he averaged 15.5 points 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 22 games in the Russian Superleague.
