Air Avellino announced Travis Best
Air Avellino announced Travis Best via their official website. The player was unofficially announced by coach Markovski and now the official announcement of the team comes to verify the rumors about his transfer.
Travis Best(1.81-PG) is a veteran of the NBA and the european courts at the age of 36. Affectionately nicknamed "The Springfield Rifle" for his deadly marksmanship and scoring ability, Best was a high school phenom and prolific scorer while playing for Springfield Central High School in Springfield. His senior season saw him score 81 points in a single game, a state record.
Best was drafted 23rd in the 1st round of the 1995 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. He has played for the Pacers, the Chicago Bulls, the Miami Heat, the Dallas Mavericks and the New Jersey Nets, with career averages of 7.6 points 1.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in a total of 708 games in the NBA. He has also played for Unics Kazan and the last 2 seasons he played for Virtus Bologna and briefly for Prokom Trefl.
