Bernard Hopkins received Spanish nationality
Veteran forward Bernard Hopkins(2.00-SF) received the Spanish nationality, pending the paperwork, according to the ACB official site. The american forward has spent 10 years in the ACB league having played in teams such as Valencia, Tenerife, Valladolid and last season he played for Bruesa in LEB Gold.
In the next season he will play for Bruesa again in the ACB this time and he will not occupy the position of a foreign player allowing Bruesa to potentially sign another american player. This also opens a whole new market for the 35-year old forward although slightly late in his career. Last season he averaged 13.1 points 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 34 in LEB Gold for Bruesa.
