Carlos Delfino had offers from Greece
Carlos Delfino spoke to greek TV channel SKAI and when questioned about his decision to sign with Khimky he said that he had offers from both Olympiakos and Panathinaikos. This essentially confirms earlier rumors of the summer that Panathinaikos was actually trying to get his signature.
The argentinian sharp-shooter said that he wanted to sign with a team before the Olympic Games which is why he signed with Khimky.
He also said that he prefers the style of play in Europe that is more team based than the NBA that is based on the one-on-one principle. He said that Childress is a very good player but he will need some time to adjust as the game in Europe is different. He also said that he was afraid that the shot from Spanoulis would go in during the Olympic Games and that one day he wants to be a leader of the team in and out of the court much like Ginobili.
