Avellino released Dickau
Air Avellino released Dan Dickau and the earlier suspicions came true. The italian team will be playing in the Euroleague next season against powerhouses like Olympiakos, that have one of the biggest budgets in Europe and Dan Dickau was their prime target and their most expensive transfer -a contract of 1.1 million dollars- so now they need to replace him with an equally effective point guard. What seemed like a great transfer looks now like a major disappointment.
Rumors in Italy speak of 36-year old veteran Gianmarco Pozzeco who declared that he retired from professional basketball. So far no other names have surfaced as rumors for Avellino and perhaps they will seek a player in some of the last players that won't find a job in the NBA.
