According to russian media, Ural Great signed another player this week, this time it's american
forward/center Sam Clancy(2.02-PF/C) who played for french club Le Mans last season. Sam Clancy has played in Russia before for Unics Kazan in season 2005-2006 so he has experience from the russian superleague. He is a very strong player that excels in the paint and also an avid rebounder. He lacks in defense sometimes and his career was plagued by injuries that never allowed him to reach his full potential perhaps even a short career in the NBA.
Sam Clancy also played for Valladolid and Menorca in Spain. He was also signed with the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia 76ers, however he has never played a game for either team. He was injured as a member of the 76ers, and was waived by the Blazers.
He averaged 10.5 points 6.7 rebounds and 1 blocks per game in 29 games in the LNB league and also 14.2 points and 7.3 rebounds in 13 games in the Euroleague as a player of Le Mans last season.
