Cholet waives Nikkah and announces Grier
Cholet announced Vincent Grier(1.95-SG) and at the same time they announced that are releasing Samad Nikkah due to administrative issues. It was mutually decided with Nikkah to break his contract. The french team decided to sign Vincent Grier, who played for Gravelines DK last season.
He played for the Minessota Gophers after transferring from the University of Charlotte in 2003. He lead the team in scoring for two consecutive seasons, including a trip to the NCAA Tournament that resulted in a first-round loss to Iowa State. He was signed by the 2006 NBA champions Miami Heat but didn't really get to play with them. He averaged 13 points 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 30 games for Gravelines last season.
