Alan Anderson(1.98-SG/SF) spoke to israeli portal sport5.co.il where he confirmed that he would play for Maccabi Tel Aviv. The american guard/forward that played mainly for Cibona this season was related to Maccabi in rumors that circulated in israeli media and this is the confirmation.
Anderson says that he wants to pursue his NBA dream this summer and if he doesn't secure a contract in the NBA then he will play for Maccabi. Apart from Cibona he has also played for Triumph Lyubertsy and Virtus Bologna.
Anderson started his sports career in Michigan State University and played in the NCAA Final Four in 2005. That season he signed 2-year deal with Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA, but mainly played in the NBDL. He averaged 15.3 points 4.8 rebounds and 2 assists in 7 games in the Euroleague and just recently he helped Cibona conquer the title of the croatian league averaging 16.2 points 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 13 games.
