Luciano Cappicchioni reveals news

The boss of the Interperformances agency, Luciano Cappichioni, who is incidently one of the most powerful agents in Europe talks about the current contract situation in the european basketball market. This interview was given to the Zalgiris affiliated lithuanian portal, Kauno Diena and it was related to Zalgiris related players.

Among other things he reveals that Paulius Jankunas(2.03-PF) is in the sights of Efes Pilsen and also Valencia but as he said there might be other teams interested in him in the future. He also said that Zalgiris might not offer Jankunas another contract as they are currently re-evaluating their financial situation and they certainly don't want to have the same as last season. Jankunas averaged 13.8 points and 8 rebounds in 9 games for Zalgiris in the Euroleague.

He also said that Mantas Kalnietis (1.95-PG/SG) has already signed a contract for 3 seasons with Benetton Treviso and that it is 99% certain that he will be moving there. You can never be too sure with these things.

He also spoke of Donatas Motiejunas (2.16-PF/C), who is one of the biggest lithuanian prospects and that he is waiting on offers from big clubs. However he said it should be in the player's big interest to sign with a team that will give him a lot of playing time otherwise the bench will ruin him at this moment in his career.

Finally he spoke of Martynas Andiuskevicius (2.18-C) saying that he might still stay in Alicante (he already has an offer from them) but he could also find another contract in Europe.
