Zalgiris lost 2 more vital players
Zalgiris officially announced that they are releasing the serbian center Ratko Varda(2.16-C). They decided to mutually end their contract. Ratko helped the financially failing Zalgiris as much as he could but he is back on the european market as a free agent. He didn't do very well in the Euroleague but in the lithuanian league he averaged 19 points and 4.7 rebounds in 3 games. The reason he was released was because Zalgiris couldn't pay him anymore.
Loren Woods(2.18-C) also left Zalgiris as he went back to the States to look after his ill wife. Rumors are though that he might not be coming back so Zalgiris has lost 2 7-footers all of a sudden. Loren Woods averaged 12.5 points and 9.3 rebounds in 4 games in the Euroleague.
